After an exploding can of deodorant removed the roof from a family home, it is clear that it takes more than “a freak series of mishaps” to move some people to anger or shake their trust.
I can’t really blame him for what happened. I would be happy to leave him again when we next go on holiday. It is just ironic that the fire was started by the electric hob because Sean didn’t actually cook anything while we were away – he survived on microwave meals and takeaways.
I’m never quite sure about the physics of some stories that get into the papers. AJJ, if you are reading this, perhaps you have some insights?

Well. I can see the windows being blown out. A student I knew blew out the windows of their kitchen making a CO2 bomb. Put dry ice in a coke bottle and place said bottle in a sink full of warm water. Cover with a towel to avoid maiming shrapnel and wait. Solid CO2 sublimes, becomes gas, increases pressure in bottle. Bottle ruptures. Windows out.
All good fun.
