There’s nothing like ‘a bit of fun and awareness raising’, as this venture to promote awareness of women in IT roles was styled, to prove that firstly to prove that puritanism is alive and well in the western world, and secondly that its objections are entirely arbitrary. Whether or not such a calendar should be published is one question, but to be prepared to sponsor this picture, but not this one seems whimsical.
As for the message, that women who work in IT can look great in recreations of iconic film posters, that seems rather healthy to me. Not because it has much bearing on IT, but just because it shows that ‘ordinary’ people, often older than the models and actors they mimic and who have not spent years devoting their lives and career primarily to looking beautiful, can recreate those images.
