Just when I was feeling a little more positive about this new iPhone thingy, I read this suggestion that the iPhone will not allow user-installable applications.
If true, it’s not likely to affect most users. But it will upset developers and reviewers.

The new iPhone might make sense if one does not own an iPod and GPS system and is about to upgrade one’s phone.

So. Apple has finally given the consumers what they think they want, and as cool a product as no doubt all the blogs will say it is, it could well turn out to be one of the disastrous decisions in history. It is certainly brave.
